Hi, are there any skills that interact or interupt with rituals?

I ask because I'm putting a mesmer through factions and it would be useful to counter the rits.

[cry of pain] and [cry of frustration]
[web of disruption] or [complicate]
[psychic distraction] or [simple thievery]
[leech signet] or even [signet of disruption]
all these interrupt spirits potentially.

As for dealing with spirits already up, then [spiritual pain] or [unnatural signet] are made to deal with spirits.
Except they kinda suck, I wouldn't bother - spirits are fragile and are of no real threat, just let them get blown up by your team's AoE.

What else is there other than "general skill interractions"? You were wanting to talk to spirits into submission or something?

General interrupts such as [[Cry of Frustration], [[Complicate], [[Leech Signet], [[Cry of Pain] will interrupt Binding Rituals.

Damage Skills such as [[Spiritual Pain], [[Unnatural Signet] will recharge instantly if they hit a spirit...means you can spam those skills until the spirit is dead.

Spell interrupts like [[Power Spike], [[Power Drain], [[Power Block] will interrupt general Rit spells such as Flesh of my Flesh used by Afflicted Ritualists.

Enchantment and Hex removal can be good: [[Shatter Hex] can strip [[Painful Bond] and [[Shatter Enchantment] can strip [[Boon of Creation]

...exactly....what more were you hoping for?

Incidentally, there is nothing to stop you taking Rit secondary and using skills such as [[Gaze of Fury]....

Weapon = Weapon Spells = Spells.

The "power" interrupts only interrupt chants because paragons needed more counters, also you can't interrupt any shouts because none have cast times.

As for interrupting spirits, the only way to do that is to use "skill" interrupts.

[echo][gaze of fury][splinter weapon][cry of pain][web of disruption][drain delusions][death pact signet][empty]

AoE damage + gaze of fury will rip those mobs apart

I was asking abou the skills in order to help me (possibly) create a build that punishes rits effectively (my ping on a good day is still longer than 1/4 second cast times, so interupts are completely out.)

So...you're hoping for a skill which punishes Ritualists for using a Binding skill, just like [[Backfire] punishes Casters for using spells? Well...no such thing, unless you make a necro and use [[Spiteful Spirit] I guess, but it would be wrong to only take SS purely to punish Ritualists for using Binding Rituals.

Honestly, the best way you can "punish" them is by slaughtering their spirit as soon as it has been cast with the skills previously listed. It should also be pointed out that you really do have to have some unbelievably stupid ping to not interrupt a Binding Ritual. They take 3 or 5 seconds to cast...PLENTY of time to pop off a Cry of Frustration or a Cry of Pain.

your ping is over 2500?

You're not looking to interupt 1/4 second casting times, but 2-5 second casting times.

Cry of Frustration is a great spell, and can interrupt rits even if you don't target them specifically.

You have heroes? If so, a Paragon with [[Holy Spear] = spirit ownage.
